Sheeba Divakaran, DNP, PMHNP-BC, LASAC
Addiction and Psychiatric Specialist
Growing up in a small village in India, with limited access to healthcare and stigma about mental health illnesses and substance use disorders, I, Sheeba Divakaran, DNP, PMHNP-BC, LASAC has numerous stories I have witnessed and have part of. The childhood experiences led me to become a nurse and from there to a Substance abuse counselor and finally to a Nurse Practitioner. I have worked as a Registered Nurse in many areas over the last 27 years and am now able to bring this collective experience to Corebella Health and Wellness in my role of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
I strongly believe in establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and believe no single approach is the right one for every individual. I strive to see my patients as unique individuals who deserve the best care and empathy. I believe in God and education and believe It is important to educate my patients on what is important in their care.
I hold a doctoral degree in nursing practice from the University of Arizona College of Nursing, a master's degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Chamberlain School of Nursing. I have a diploma in Nursing from India where I started my journey.
I enjoy travelling and use the time for medical mission trips in Panama, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.
